#SK海力士据报拟派特别股息 SK Hynix’s $12 billion special dividend is more than a shareholder payout—it’s “hard proof” of AI hardware cash flow

SK Hynix plans to distribute a special dividend totaling approximately $12 billion, funded by most of the proceeds from the sale of its stake in Kioxia. The news is a shareholder return event, but look a little deeper: being able to return this much cash to shareholders in a single payout shows that HBM-driven demand for AI memory has turned into real money on the income statement.

The narrative around crypto AI tokens has always had a weak spot: “When will decentralized AI generate real revenue?” SK Hynix’s special dividend doesn’t solve that problem, but it does offer an emotional anchor: the more solid the cash flow in the AI hardware supply chain, the harder it is for risk appetite around the “AI compute narrative” to cool across the board. Historically, AI tokens such as TAO, RNDR, and FET have often seen fund flows move in the same direction when strong catalysts emerge in the AI supply chain.

Of course, the special dividend itself is not a direct catalyst for AI tokens. What’s really worth watching is SK Hynix’s wording on HBM demand and AI capital expenditure at its October 28 earnings call. If the tone is bullish, AI token sentiment could rally before fundamentals do; if the shares retreat as investors take profits after the special dividend is paid, that could instead be a window to assess how well AI tokens are holding up. #海力士
