New L1: 200ms blocks, no new token issuance
Over the weekend, CZ posted “Multiple chains, one coin” on X, reigniting interest in BNB Chain’s new L1.
According to official docs and the H2 roadmap (cross-checked with The Block and TokenPost):
▶︎ Another EVM L1 is being built to run alongside BSC, not replace it
▶︎ 200ms blocks, pre-confirmation in around 20ms, and sub-second finality; design target of 100K+ TPS
▶︎ TxStream has no public mempool; transactions go directly to block producers
▶︎ Gas, staking, and governance will still use $BNB ; a multi-validator devnet is already running
▶︎ Testnet targeted for year-end, mainnet targeted for early 2027
My take: A unified asset adds to the $BNB narrative, but 100K TPS is still a design target—don’t take it as a done deal. Whether MEV can be kept in check remains to be seen on mainnet.
What matters more to you: latency, or whether liquidity will get fragmented?
Risk disclaimer: Plans may change. This is not investment advice.
