LOL, I was halfway through checking the charts this morning when I just couldn't hold it together: $BTC 24 hours down 0.25%, while the median for a basket of altcoins was actually up 0.35%. Bitcoin took a breather and the altcoins moved first—I honestly don't get this plot.

Even crazier is $ETH . Against $BTC , it's currently at 0.029, up just 0.03% on the day—basically hasn't moved at all. I counted 19 altcoins; it looks like they all moved together, but really none of them went very far.

Everyone's shouting “altcoin season,” so let Caishen break it down today: the median gain is this tiny, and you call that a season? To me, this looks like Bitcoin taking a breather and altcoins catching up a little. There's a bit of that market-wide pause in the air, but we're still nowhere near the right conditions.

Personally, I'm with the first camp: Bitcoin's taking a breather and altcoins are catching up—nothing to do with altcoin season. Which side are you on: altcoins catching up, or does this tiny gain not even count as a gain? Reply with #BTC #以太坊 , and Caishen will count how many camps are here today.
