Solar Network token SXP has become the most profitable asset among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization over the past seven days. During this period, the price of SXP increased by more than 200%, reaching its highest value since May 2022.

What’s even more interesting is that the sharp increase in the token’s price has been accompanied by an explosion in trading volume on South Korea’s major cryptocurrency exchanges. The pattern is similar to that seen for XRP in late March.

According to the data, SXP leads Upbit in terms of transaction volume, currently accounting for 21.4% of the total transaction value of $1.88 billion. Last week, Korean investors traded 1.3 billion SXP tokens on exchanges. For reference, the value of Solar tokens has been set at 1,000 won, with a starting point of 358 won.

XRP, on the other hand, has lost some ground in the Korean crypto space. Trading volumes dropped significantly after XRP prices peaked at 768 won or $0.585 per token locally.

The token currently accounts for just 11% of Upbit’s total turnover, more than three times what it was a week ago. Meanwhile, on Bithumb, South Korea’s second-largest exchange, XRP continues to account for 27.24% of total trading volume, equivalent to Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solar (SXP) combined.
