#nil $NIL @Nillion
There’s one thing that frustrates a lot of people when trading: the moment your stop-loss, strategy, and trigger conditions go on-chain, everyone can see right through you. Nillion isn’t trying to build yet another kind of “transaction privacy”—it wants to hide the execution and strategy layers too. The underlying primitive is called Covenants: instructions are locked in and posted on-chain in advance, unreadable to anyone until the conditions are met; once they are, execution is automatically unlocked.
Dusk is the first shot, bringing Covenants to Ethereum mainnet around August–November 2026. Three things excite me most: 1) Triggered conditions don’t depend on a keeper making the call; 2) Anyone can stake, run a node, and earn rewards; 3) There’s also an SDK for developers and agents, with the complex cryptography hidden under the hood. After mainnet launches, the L2 will be gradually phased out, with settlement moving entirely back to Ethereum—that’s what it looks like to take a product from “sounds good” to “actually usable.”
What I’m most eager to see first is Dusk really running on mainnet, and whether Darkfall can keep up with multichain support—those two steps will determine whether the narrative can become a tool people can actually use for trading. I’m sharing a real NIL trade to try it out while keeping an eye on how things develop. I’ll manage my own position; this isn’t investment advice.
