$AAPL Apple is finally adding a touchscreen to the MacBook. According to Bloomberg, Apple plans to unveil its first touchscreen MacBook Pro this Wednesday, available in 14- and 16-inch models. It will feature an OLED display and Dynamic Island for the first time, and will cost more than the current starting price of $2,499.
Interestingly, Apple has long opposed touchscreen laptops on ergonomic grounds, but now it’s changing its stance. Touch controls won’t replace the keyboard and trackpad, but they do at least show that Apple is willing to reconsider its long-held principles.
