The XRPL fix amendment is on a countdown, while native lending still hasn’t received enough votes. Don’t confuse the two timelines.

As of October 25 at 13:17 UTC, XRPL Dashboard’s validator stats showed that fixCleanup3_4_0 had 32 votes from 35 trusted validators. LendingProtocol and LendingProtocolV1_1 each had 19 votes, against a current threshold of 29. The table’s “majority” and “short by 10” are more useful than a vague upgrade announcement.

fixCleanup3_4_0 is a set of fixes, not the launch of a lending feature. After losing majority support on October 21, its countdown restarted. It is currently expected to meet the waiting period on November 4, provided support remains above the threshold. Actual activation will still require the relevant ledger process.

The official rules require more than 80% of trusted validators to support an amendment continuously for two weeks. Code being released, votes clearing the threshold, and a feature being activated are three different states. To track XRPL lending progress, first check whether the relevant proposal has entered its countdown; don’t use the date for a fix amendment as a substitute.

Votes can change, and upgrade progress does not indicate which way XRP’s price will move. Be aware of market risks.
