🇺🇸 German automaker Audi will build its first company-owned factory in the United States, in the state of Georgia, with an investment of approximately $4.2 billion and an expected 4,500 jobs created. The plant will have the capacity to produce up to 200,000 vehicles a year, mainly luxury SUVs, although production would not begin until the early 2030s.
📉 The trade war is changing the rules of the game. U.S. tariffs made imports more expensive and cost Audi around €1.2 billion in 2025. Manufacturing locally is therefore becoming a way to reduce trade costs and strengthen its position in one of the world's most important markets.
