To avoid scams when trading P2P on Binance, follow these rules:

Never trade outside Binance P2P: Don’t agree to use WhatsApp, Telegram, or any external link on the grounds that it will “complete the transaction faster.”

Don’t release the cryptocurrency until you’ve confirmed that the money has actually arrived in your bank account. Don’t rely on a screenshot or SMS message; open your banking app and check your balance and transactions.

Do not cancel the order after paying if the other party asks you to. Use the appeal button in the order if there is a problem.

Do not accept payments from a bank account under a different name than the other party’s name on the order, especially when selling crypto. This may indicate a third party or a suspicious transfer.

Choose a merchant with a strong track record: a high completion rate, a large number of orders, limits suitable for your amount, and a clear payment method.

Beware of urgency and pressure, such as “Release the crypto now and I’ll pay later” or “There’s a technical issue; send the crypto manually.”

Do not share sensitive information: your password, verification codes, API keys, or two-factor authentication codes.

If needed, communicate only in the order chat; it can serve as evidence if you file an appeal.

When selling: don’t be fooled by a fake transfer notification. Do not click “Release crypto” until you have confirmed that the funds are available in your account.

When buying: pay within the time limit using your personal account and bank details that exactly match the order details.

If you notice anything suspicious, do not continue or release the crypto; file an appeal from the order page so the platform can investigate.
