$BTC Current price: 80402, just 1.55% above the seven-day low. This bounce has recovered only one-fifth of the decline.
Over seven days, it fell from 84875 to 79178, a drop of 6.71%. It has now recovered 21.5% of that loss. It may look like it’s climbing, but it hasn’t even cleared the first step.
The key isn’t how much it has risen, but whether it can reclaim 80900. That’s the MA50, and it has failed to hold above it on both of its attempts over the past two days.
Of the last 48 one-hour candles, only 16 closed above the MA20.
If it holds above 80900, then 82145 is the next hurdle. If it breaks below 79178, this week’s low is out of the picture, and there’s no established support below.
A bounce and a reversal are one closing price apart. Wait for the candle to close before acting; don’t jump in halfway up the slope.
