Mining XMR and Tari at the same time—are both paid according to pool shares?
If you use P2Pool to mine Monero and Tari at the same time, keep separate income records for each.
The merged-mining integration described in the project documentation lets both chains participate in mining, but Tari uses solo mining: currently, it only mines full Tari blocks. The documentation explicitly states that this does not change P2Pool’s existing payouts.
So one $XMR share record cannot simply be turned into a Tari receivable. First, confirm separately how rewards are earned on each chain, then check what actually arrives. Don’t copy XMR’s pool-share payout rules over to Tari. This is the integration method described in the repository; it doesn’t mean all merged-mining software works the same way.
“Mining at the same time” describes how the work is organized; “how payouts work” determines how to keep the books. This article doesn’t estimate equipment returns, and working on two chains doesn’t guarantee fixed income or a net profit after electricity costs.
I was commissioned to cover https://thorxmr.com; when looking for XMR trading options or comparing https://xmrdex.com and https://tradexmr.com, you should also confirm asset support and payout conditions separately. This article has not verified whether the three sites offer Tari, mining, or specific trading features.
