U.S. spot ETF flows were a roller coaster this week: first came hefty inflows, then a single-day outflow of more than $740 million. By the end of the week, net inflows were down to just over $87 million, almost wiping out the earlier gains.

The divergence was pretty telling: Bitcoin funds still took in more than $300 million net for the week, while Ethereum funds saw outflows of over $220 million. BlackRock’s funds were a microcosm of the trend: its Bitcoin trust attracted more than $560 million, while its Ethereum trust shed over $230 million.

The money hasn’t exactly left, but it’s clearly changing positions. The question now is whether these funds will turn around and head straight back out next week.
