🚨 Western Digital Beats Wall Street Estimates as AI Storage Demand Surges!
Western Digital ($WDCB ) reported strong fiscal first-quarter results, with revenue jumping 55% year over year to approximately $4.4 billion.
Adjusted earnings reached $4.64 per share, beating analysts' expectations of approximately $4.11.
The company also reported a major improvement in profitability, with adjusted gross margins reaching 58.1%, compared with 43.9% a year earlier.
🚀 The biggest growth driver: AI data centers.
As artificial intelligence applications generate enormous amounts of information, demand for high-capacity data storage continues to expand.
Western Digital expects approximately $5.1 billion in revenue next quarter, with gross margins between 60% and 61%.
However, despite strong earnings and optimistic guidance, $WDC shares declined approximately 2.5% on Friday.
Investors remain concerned about production costs, competition and whether the AI-driven storage boom can sustain its current pace.
Strong results are no longer enough. Wall Street wants proof that AI demand can support long-term profitability.
