Tether just lined up 15 Bitcoin mining firms behind an open kit so AI can run mixed fleets without custom glue for every ASIC.
On October 24, 2026, Tether said leading miners, ASIC makers, and pools will build and maintain Workers for its open-source Mining Development Kit (MDK). Each Worker translates a company’s own hardware or pool interface into one shared language, so monitoring apps and AI agents can talk to mixed fleets without rewriting integrations per vendor. Tether’s QVAC mining agent already runs on MDK as an early demo. MDK hits version 0.11 at Plan ₿ Forum in Lugano on October 23–24, 2026, with a stable 1.0 targeted by the end of 2026. Names on the list include Bitdeer, BITMAIN, Canaan, Foundry Digital, F2Pool, MicroBT, Luxor, and Proto from Block.
