Over the past hour, Binance futures liquidations totaled $110 million: $108 million in long positions (98.5%) and $1.67 million in short positions.
After liquidations, I usually look at three things:
① Which side was liquidated more: longs accounted for the majority, meaning some leverage was flushed out;
② The largest liquidation was $ETH ($35.6 million); its price swings tend to be the most extreme afterward;
③ Whether open interest also declined: a drop means leverage was genuinely flushed out, while little change suggests new positions are entering.
Keep leverage under control, and you’re less likely to get liquidated when volatility hits.
