At 20:31 Beijing time on 2026-10-24, BTC was at $80,752, down 1.19% over 24 hours, with $910 million in trading volume.
A few figures worth noting:
· RSI(14) 47.9, somewhat weak but not in extreme territory
· Volume has fallen to 0.35× the 7-day average
· Price is at the 19% level of the 24-hour range
· Bollinger Bands: upper $81,581 / middle $80,962 / lower $80,343
· ATR(14) 0.34%, volatility is low
Low volume + low volatility + lower-middle range: this combination does not point in a direction on its own, but it does provide a framework to watch:
If this is accumulation, volume will usually pick up modestly before a breakout; if this is a continuation pattern, it often resolves with a high-volume breakdown.
The two patterns look almost identical before they occur; the only difference is volume confirmation. That’s also why liquidity indicators come before price charts.
We’re publicly logging an observation: BTC, 12-hour window. A high-volume reclaim of the 25-hour moving average would be interpreted as bullish; a high-volume break below the lower Bollinger Band would be interpreted as bearish. We’ll check at expiry and record the outcome, whether right or wrong.
