I was browsing Binance announcements this weekend and saw that the campaign where Ripple USD holders share 600,000 XRP $XRP is back for another round: it starts at 8 a.m. on 10/23 and ends on 11/20. Rewards will be distributed over four weeks, with each week’s airdrop arriving before 2 a.m. on Saturday. The first one is on 10/30.

I read the rules carefully, and there are two measures to prevent people from gaming the system. Your eligible balance each day is based on the lowest value among that day’s hourly snapshots, so temporarily transferring funds in overnight won’t help. Any portion obtained by swapping from another stablecoin only counts at 40%. You can also subscribe newly added holdings to flexible savings, for a maximum combined multiplier of 1.3x.

One other thing matters more to me: the reward pool is fixed at 600,000 XRP, and the annualized return depends on everyone’s total holdings and the coin’s price. The annualized return section of the announcement still says “Updated 10/30.” XRP is around 1.28 today, down more than 3%. You receive the reward in coins; whether to hold or sell is another question.

Would you convert idle stablecoins into Ripple USD and hold them for four weeks for this? Or wait until the annualized return is announced for the first week?
