📉 BTC holds firm, but ETFs see heavy outflows! Next week will be an important test.
This week, the Nasdaq fell 2.68%, while the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index lost 6.3% as investors worried about AI investment costs, returns failing to meet expectations, and tensions in the Middle East. Brent crude briefly approached $113 a barrel.
BTC fell from $84,022 to $81,316, but mostly held above $80,000, for a weekly decline of around 0.64%. Compared with tech stocks, BTC showed relatively strong resilience, but that is not enough to confirm that the uptrend has returned.
📌 The worrying factor is fund flows: spot BTC ETFs attracted more than $1 billion from Monday to Wednesday, then saw outflows of about $635 million on Thursday. ETH ETFs also recorded nearly $1.08 billion in net outflows in October. On Friday, around $430 million in long positions were liquidated.
🔥 Keep an eye on 3 events next week:
Oct 27: SK Hynix announces its earnings.
Oct 28: The Fed announces its interest rate decision.
Oct 29: Samsung and SanDisk announce their earnings.
🎯 My plan: Watch the BTC range of $80,000–$82,000, ETF flows, and the market's reaction after the Fed meeting. A recovery is only worth expecting if support holds and buying pressure improves; if support breaks, preserving capital should take priority.
Don't rush to buy the dip, and don't panic-sell. Risk management matters more than guessing every price move correctly.
