There’s a strange disconnect in the futures market today.
ERA is up 28%, with trading volume topping 100 million, and it’s leaving everything else in the dust. Most other futures contracts are down rather than up, with plenty of tokens off 3–6%: EDU, BERA, COMP, UNI—all fairly well-known names, and they’re all bleeding today.
I’ve watched the market for years and seen this kind of setup many times. When the broader market is weak but one token suddenly surges in both price and volume, there are usually only two explanations: either real positive news is driving it, or someone is using volume to create confidence, pump the price, and then dump their position.
In the first case, more news will follow, and there may be a second wave once the price stabilizes. In the second, retail traders pile in, volume starts to dry up, and then the price plunges.
If you enter ERA now, which outcome are you betting on?
I won’t give you the answer. I’ve seen both scenarios, and honestly, without confirmation from the news, no one can guarantee which one is playing out. What I can tell you is this: if you insist on getting involved, keep your position size under control, set a stop-loss, and don’t make decisions based on a screenshot or a post.
Real trading is about still being profitable on average after a thousand trades—not getting this one bet right.
Which side are you on? Do you think ERA has more upside ahead, or is this just a trap? Vote in the comments, and tell us why, whether you’re bullish or bearish.
