🚨 Bitcoin Core developers change strategy: vulnerabilities that AI can find with a single prompt will no longer be kept under wraps!

According to CoinDesk, Bitcoin Core has adopted a new security disclosure policy: vulnerabilities that “AI can rediscover just by being asked” will no longer be subject to a confidentiality period of around a year. Instead, they’ll be disclosed and patched as soon as possible.

📌 Background
• This summer, AI discovered hundreds of Bitcoin-related vulnerabilities before humans did
• A review of 390 Bitcoin projects uncovered 4,962 issues
• Maintainers acknowledge that releasing patches faster may mean less time to test updates

⚖️ My take
✅ Positive: In the age of AI, “security by obscurity” doesn’t work; transparency is safer
⚠️ Risk: Keep a close eye on patch quality and how quickly nodes upgrade when fixes are rushed out

📊 Market: BTC is around $81.5K, still fluctuating in the $80K–$84K range; spot ETFs saw net outflows of $635 million on Thursday, and the Fear & Greed Index is 50 (neutral).
