🧲 “Nowhere is safe for money”? Murad’s answer begins and ends with SPX6900

A joke has been making the rounds on X these past couple of days: stocks are afraid of an AI bubble, bonds are afraid of government borrowing, Bitcoin is afraid of quantum computing, gold is afraid of lab-grown gold… The conclusion? “There’s nowhere left to put your money.”

Murad shared his list today: land and farmland, silver, platinum and palladium, non-Western government bonds, rare watches, Swiss francs, Singapore dollars, your own business, fine wine and whisky, and infrastructure funds. The first and last items on the list are both SPX6900.

A few hours later (October 23, 18:41 Beijing time), he posted again: impatient people trade and lose everything; patient people hold on and gain life-changing wealth. The post got around 26,000 views, over 480 likes, and more than 130 replies. The day before, he’d also said that the rational choice was to set your ego aside, stop trading, and focus all your energy on one coin.

🔹 “Hold patiently” isn’t wrong in itself—many people really do lose their principal through frequent trading
🔹 But patience should be about trusting your own judgment, not patiently holding someone else’s position
🔹 When someone puts the same coin on their list twice and urges everyone to concentrate their bets on it, that’s first and foremost their position—and only then their opinion

My take: separate “don’t trade recklessly” from “buy only this one coin.” You can take the first piece of advice; the second requires doing your own research. Real patience means thinking it through before you buy: if it drops by half, can you still hold on? Would losing that money affect your life? Spreading your money across several highly correlated coins isn’t diversification, and going all-in on one meme coin isn’t long-term thinking either.

Would a big influencer saying “hold on” every day make you more confident about holding—or make you want to get out even more?
