BTC: 81k has held three times; lose it and the window closes
BTC fell from 84.9k to around 81.8k in less than two days as three selling pressures hit at once: ETFs saw $635.49 million in net outflows after three sessions of inflows, over $300 million in long positions were liquidated, and the Nasdaq dropped 2.60% in its worst session since June.
The price is below the 4H EMA cluster at 82.1–82.6k. That cluster was support yesterday but is now resistance, because traders who chased the price during the three ETF inflow sessions from 19–21/10, around 82–84k, are now in the red and may sell to break even on a rebound. ETH ETFs saw another $110.50 million in outflows.
Buyers are still holding around 81k, where three things converge: the 24-hour low at 80,940, the uptrend line from 15/10, and the 50-day EMA at 80,877. A 4H candle close below 80,900 would break all three; then the next levels to watch are 80k and 79.8k.
The FOMC meets on 27–28/10, with its decision expected at 01:00 on 29/10 Vietnam time. A Reuters poll found that 94 out of 100 economists expect rates to remain unchanged.
