📰 Bounty Watch · Morning Brief · 10-23 Friday

Major cryptocurrencies weakened across the board today: BTC fell 1.17% to 81,788, ETH dropped 1.15% to 2,410, and SOL and BNB were also down around 1%. With sentiment broadly bearish, cold-wallet holders are sitting on the sidelines.

But small-cap AKE surged 53.1% in 24 hours to 0.03433. A rally of this magnitude usually suggests that buyers are swooping in to buy the dip or that a new narrative is gaining traction. Other examples include BTW, up 17.3%, and M, up 12.8%. These small-cap coins are breaking out, suggesting some retail traders are turning to small caps while major coins are going nowhere. On the downside, PEARL led the losses, falling 10.8%. GEOD, BP, and KMNO were also down between 7% and 10%, looking like pullbacks in tokens that were hyped yesterday.

Other key updates:

Switzerland has approved its first spot Bitcoin ETF for retail investors—another sign of a more welcoming stance in Europe, which supports the medium-term outlook for major coins like BTC.

Dune has launched a real-time data feed covering 200 on-chain trading venues. It’s a useful addition for arbitrage traders and quants, helping them spot price differences across venues more quickly.

PEARL remains at the top of the trending list despite falling 10.8%, suggesting plenty of traders are buying the dip. PENGU, STRK, and VVV are also still on the watchlist, and sentiment around small-cap coins remains highly volatile.
