What exactly is an NFT?
The most common NFT standard on Ethereum is ERC-721. Each NFT is identified by a unique tokenId. Fungible tokens are all identical—for example, one ETH can be exchanged for another ETH—whereas every NFT is different.
If the metadata and images are stored on the project’s servers, the tokens will still exist if the servers shut down, but the content may no longer be accessible.
Transferring and trading NFTs on Ethereum requires paying Gas with $ETH .
