#EarningsSeason 📉 | Wall Street is bleeding: what traders should read between the lines

Thursday, October 22. Earnings season under pressure:

🔴 **META:** -6.10% (~$654.98) after announcing AI capex of **$130B–$145B** for the year
🔴 **AMZN:** -4.01% (~$251.84)
🔴 **NVDA:** -3.79% (~$213.55)
🔴 **Nasdaq-100:** -2.43% (29,140 pts), following a 5.5% drop last week—its worst decline since April 2025

**What’s happening? 3 factors at once:**
1️⃣ **Doubts about AI returns:** Meta is increasing spending while Tesla is cutting back. The market is asking who will profit from all this investment.
2️⃣ **Inflation and interest rates:** September CPI in the U.S. came in at 3.7% (vs. 3.6% expected). The likelihood of a rate hike at the Fed meeting on **October 27–28** is rising.
3️⃣ **Credit and energy stress:** CoreWeave debt (~$50B) with yields of 15%, the SOX index down for 8 sessions (its worst losing streak since 2008), and Brent above $112.

**🎓 ANFELIA lesson:**
When macro risk is concentrated around a single event (the Fed), the market falls **with thin liquidity and at high speed**. A rebound doesn’t mean the market has bottomed.

**Defensive protocol for this week:**
✅ Maximum risk per trade: **1%–2%** of capital
✅ Minimum R:R **1:2**
✅ Maximum daily drawdown **3%**: if reached, turn off the screen
✅ Crypto leverage: **5x–10x maximum**, only to use margin efficiently
✅ Before entering: 4H/1D trend → liquidity zones → confirm absorption in the Order Book (1m/5m) → calculate position size based on the exact Stop

**⚠️ Watch out for correlation:** if the Nasdaq falls due to risk appetite and interest rates, crypto usually feels it too. Review your total exposure before the 28th.
