According to CoinWorld, SK hynix has abandoned plans to list its subsidiary Solidigm in the United States, citing strong opposition from shareholders and regulatory scrutiny. The controversy centers on concerns that the move could harm minority shareholders’ interests. In a regulatory filing submitted Friday, the company also said it had suspended the process of bringing in pre-IPO investors, which had been proceeding alongside the listing plan. Solidigm, SK hynix’s flash memory subsidiary, had been expected to pursue a potential U.S. listing next year. The reversal follows concerns from South Korean regulators about “duplicate listings,” as they believe a Solidigm listing could constitute a duplicate listing and dilute the interests of existing shareholders.
