$ALT At the time of the previous post, the price was still falling, and the funding rate had only just flipped from hovering near the zero line to -0.0163%. Eight hours later, the two are out of sync in a different way.

The current price is 0.0083 USDT, up 1.47% over four hours. The short-term price action looks like it has stabilized, but over that same period the funding rate sank to -0.849%—52 times the level in the previous post, and the deepest reading across the recent posts on this line. Price is moving up while the reading sinks further into negative territory: they’re heading in opposite directions.

The 24-hour figure is still down 37.64%, nearly three times the 13.07% drop at the time of the previous post. That hasn’t changed; only the pace of the past few hours has.

And this stabilization isn’t exactly clean: this four-hour candle dipped to 0.0081, touched 0.00879 midway through, and closed at 0.0083—still 5.6% below the high. 24-hour trading volume was about 27.09 million USDT, roughly 30% less than the 38.63 million at the time of the previous post. Price bounced from the low, but volume didn’t recover with it.

For the rebound to count, price needs to reclaim 0.00879 and hold above it. A close below 0.0081 would mean the direction is still the same as before. The next funding rate settlement is at 08:00 Taipei time. If the reading continues deeper into negative territory, the cost-side imbalance will deepen further; only a move back toward the zero line would signal some relief.

Keep the other side in mind, too: a 37% drop in a day and an 8.5% four-hour range make this kind of market prone to rebounds that are just as fast as the sell-offs. Even a deeply negative -0.849% reading could simply be a temporary imbalance after a sharp drop.
