Two oracle models:
Pull-based oracles keep signed prices off-chain. When trading, the application submits the price along with the transaction, and the on-chain contract uses it only after verifying the signature.
The benefit of push-based oracles is that contracts can use the data immediately. The trade-off is that the oracle network must continually pay Gas to push updates, so the update frequency cannot be increased arbitrarily.
