【Like the public-chain battles of 2018, but this time the money is more serious】

In 2018, every public chain was talking about “the next-generation internet.” In the end, what determined which chains lived or died was where apps put their users and developers. SUI changed my mind: DATA is abandoning its own chain and migrating to Sui, alongside a $30 million investment. Migration is worth more than slogans.

I’ve been keeping a close eye on SUI. It’s around $0.98, down 6.3% in 24 hours and 3.3% for the week, while the Fear and Greed Index has climbed to 68. Sentiment isn’t exactly cold, and trading volume has surged unusually high, topping 5% of market cap. A big move may be coming, but its direction is unclear. $0.958 is support and $1.076 is resistance; I’m watching to see whether it can break above the latter on rising volume.

In practical terms, other public chains lose an app entry point, while the Sui ecosystem gains another battleground for competing over apps. DATA, meanwhile, is giving up its own chain to focus on its core AI training data business. I’m inclined to think the business logic holds up: this isn’t about issuing a token and touting an ecosystem, but about making a choice through migration. Whether users and developers will stay, and whether another company will follow, remains unanswered.

So I see this as a test of how the landscape is shaping up—not a reason to rush to call it “undervalued.” What matters more to you in this move: real migration or the unusual surge in trading volume?
