What we’re seeing at Meta today makes me focus on something beyond the stock’s decline. Although the company posted strong revenue, the market didn’t easily accept the increase in its AI spending budget to $135–145 billion in 2026. With the stock at $653.68 after a 6.29% drop, according to the figures I have, my question is: Have investors started to doubt whether these investments can generate profits that match their cost? There’s also legal pressure that has further clouded the picture. To me, the problem isn’t that Meta is spending on AI, but how long it will take to turn that spending into a clear return.
