📉 “Crypto Beginner’s Guide,” Lesson 3: How do you identify support and resistance levels?
Here’s a real-life example from today: Bitcoin failed to break through $85,000 and fell back to around $82,000. Why is $80,000 considered support and $83,000–$84,000 resistance? Remember these three points:
1️⃣ Round-number levels + repeated tests = real support/resistance. BTC climbed to around 84,898 early in the day but couldn’t hold there and pulled back, suggesting that 83–84K is a heavy resistance zone where many holders are stuck. It bounced after falling to 81K, showing that buyers are stepping in around the psychological 80K level.
2️⃣ A support level only counts as decisively broken after three breaks; one dip is just a “fakeout.” The 80K area has been tested several times this week. Until it’s truly broken, the broader sideways trend remains intact.
3️⃣ Looking only at candlesticks and ignoring macro factors is like walking blindfolded. China’s stock market plunged today, and weak FDI data sent global risk assets tumbling across the board—even after ETFs recorded net inflows for three consecutive days, they still couldn’t push prices higher. Bottom line: macro factors always weigh on the market.
Today’s market (CoinGecko): $BTC 81736 (-2.3%), $ETH 2409 (-2.4%), BNB 733.6 (-1.4%), SOL 105.1 (-1.4%).
