Since the October 19 upgrade, earnings from Write to Earn no longer come only from readers’ trading commissions (see details about this update here). Consistently creating quality content, building a genuine community, and encouraging authentic engagement can now earn you rewards too.

Here’s how your earnings are calculated after the upgrade, along with our suggestions for how you can take part.

New reward structure:

Total rewards = (Trading commissions from posts + Engagement Rewards) + (Live Stream base commissions + Live Stream bonus commissions) + Chat base commissions

New Write to Earn reward structure

  • Base commission: Each eligible creator receives a one-time 20% commission for each trade.

  • Engagement Rewards: Eligible text content can earn Engagement Rewards from the weekly reward pool. Binance determines your reward at its sole discretion, based on the quality and volume of engagement your content generates, including comments, likes, and follows. Each type of interaction is weighted differently, and interactions from more active users contribute more. These rewards are designed to recognize content that sparks genuine discussions, and are calculated and settled weekly.

  • Bonus commissions (for live streams only): The top 100 creators at the end of each week, ranked by base commission, may receive bonus commissions as shown in the table below. Bonus commissions are calculated and settled weekly.

Tip 1: Don’t just post content—engage with your community

Each format now has a different way of earning, and using all of them together can help you earn more across the program.

How each format earns:

  • Text content (short posts, long-form articles, and videos) earns trading commissions and Engagement Rewards. It’s the only format eligible for Engagement Rewards, making it a great choice for your primary daily format.

  • Live streams are ranked separately. Each week, the top 100 creators by base commission receive additional bonus commissions, with higher amounts for higher rankings. Go live regularly if you can.

  • Chat earns base commissions and is great for retaining your core readers and keeping your community active every day.

Make text your primary format, alongside live streams and chat. Use our official widgets to share trades across all three channels.

For example:

Creator A posts text content, hosts live streams, and runs a chat, while engaging with followers and replying to comments. If their weekly Live Stream base commission ranks in the Top 1–30, their earnings by format would be as follows:

Creator A earns base commissions and bonus commissions when users click on their content and trade, plus Engagement Rewards from people who engage with their content without trading through it.

Example of Creator A’s commission structure

Creator B only posts text on Binance Square and never interacts with comments or followers. They can only earn the 20% base commission when users click on their content and trade.

Tip 2: Mass posting and engagement farming won’t earn you anything

One important change: simply posting a lot or farming engagement will no longer earn rewards. Our system evaluates whether your content sparks genuine, high-quality discussions—not how many interactions it racks up. What matters is standout content and the genuine community you build around it.

When readers comment, like, or follow after reading your content, it can reach more people and earn a share of the weekly Engagement Reward pool. You don’t need to direct anyone to trade. Focus on the content itself.

What works:

  • End with an open-ended question and invite readers to share their perspectives in the comments.

  • Share what you really think instead of just relaying information.

  • Share trade records and honest reviews. They lead to higher-quality discussions.

  • Reply to comments and keep engagement natural and consistent.

  • Post on a consistent schedule. This helps readers build a habit and keeps followers coming back.

Please note: Engagement Rewards count only genuine interactions. Coordinated activities such as liking and following one another, as well as interactions generated through secondary accounts, scripts, or similar methods, won’t count and may lead to disqualification. Please refer to the Terms for more details.

Tip 3: Check your earnings by channel and find out what your followers want

The top of the page shows your rewards for the week, including trading commissions plus Engagement Rewards. You can view these separately, along with the earnings and performance of each channel: text, live streams, and chat. Use this information to see what types of content and which channels your followers respond to, then adjust accordingly.

You’ll also find last week’s settlement data and your USDC distribution history on the Write to Earn page.
