$ETH price is only one layer; position cost is the second

First, the positioning side: 1-hour trading volume is about 1.36 times the median of the last 20 or so periods, OI is up 0.30% over one hour, and the funding rate is +0.0005%. Price, volume, and positioning have yet to align in a one-way move, so for now it makes more sense to watch the range.

Now the price side: As of 18:21 Beijing time on October 22, Binance $ETH spot was quoted at 2,410.42 USDT, and OKX at 2,410.65. The 15-minute, 1-hour, and 4-hour changes were +0.08%, -0.03%, and -0.59%, respectively.

Another interpretation is that after both longs and shorts adjusted their positions, one side temporarily took the lead in the short term. Public OI data alone cannot tell us which side was more active. 2,404.31 below and 2,526.62 above are the two current structural boundaries. A break above 2,526.62 is only confirmed if the price retests and holds; a move back below 2,404.31 invalidates the current view. Until these conditions play out, I see this as position turnover, not a trend.

This is an observation of public market data only and does not constitute investment advice.
