Over the past 24 hours (as of around 08:45 Asia/Shanghai on 2026-10-22), $PUMP was trading at about $0.00519, up roughly 5.3%, with a trading volume of around 23.5 million USDT.

Coins with names that generate buzz have low promotion costs, but their exit costs aren't necessarily low. A five-point gain may seem mild, but after consecutive surges, that “mild” move can sometimes be a stepping stone to the next pullback.

With over 20 million in trading volume, it's suited to short-term trading discipline—not to the self-comforting “I'll hold it for three years” mindset. If you haven't researched it, don't FOMO just because it's back on the leaderboard. Being on the leaderboard only means there's volatility today.

Break your position into smaller chunks and set an exit plan; that's more useful than predicting the next green candle. Meme and hype coins run on sentiment—and give back gains on sentiment, too. Sentiment reversals don't come with advance notice.

If the broader market weakens, these kinds of assets are often the first to get crushed. Being first doesn’t mean bad luck—it means high beta.

The biggest risk with hype coins is that your holding period outlasts the narrative. When the hype fades, candlesticks won’t email you to let you know.

So write your exit criteria in terms of price, time, or volume. Any two of the three will do, but “it still feels okay” won’t.

The above is for reference only and does not constitute investment advice.

Follow me hahaha—don’t chase the rally.
