$XAU
Price is currently stuck around 4080–4110.
I just checked the order flow and liquidation heatmap:
There’s a short-liquidation cluster of about $3.8 million near 4108 above (very close by), and a long-liquidation cluster of about $6.7 million near 4079 below.
Over the past 24 hours, long liquidations have far outnumbered short liquidations, so some of the selling pressure has already been released. Liquidation fuel is roughly balanced within a 3% range.

Structurally, this is a classic “shakeout and wait” setup:
The round of long liquidations at the lows is over, while leveraged shorts are sitting just overhead. If price can reclaim and break through the nearby resistance, order flow could quickly ignite a short squeeze.

Long-term central bank gold buying and Asian demand are still in play, but the key in the short term is whether price can cleanly break through the cluster above.
Are you leaning toward an upside break into the short-liquidation fuel, or another sweep lower to take out longs?
