Crypto | Bottom Watch | October 22
Down 80% and moving sideways for 70 days? That kind of “bargain” actually makes me wary.
My take: I’m watching all the top names on the bottom-fishing leaderboard, but I wouldn’t buy any of them.
$RECALL 0.0663 ranks first with a score of 68, down 75.8% from its high and moving sideways for 70 days.
The other two are down 81% and have moved sideways for 65 days, and down 87% and sideways for 70 days.
Look tempting? But after years of losing money chasing shitcoins, I’ve learned one thing: for a chart to really double, the trading range has to keep getting tighter and volume has to dry up—not sit dead for ages like nobody cares. Another one is down 96.5% and has only been moving sideways for 30 days. Thirty days is too short, so I’m passing.
I only trust three signals:
1. Volume clearly dries up within the range, and the price swing tightens to a third of what it was.
2. A breakout above the range on strong volume, followed by a retest that holds. A real breakout, not a fake pump.
3. $BTC 82474 is still hugging the intraday low. When the broader market is shaky, these coins won’t move independently.
One more reminder: I reviewed the biggest gainers list—78% were false breakouts and had given back their gains within an hour. One coin doubled in seven days, then dropped 31% the day it made the list. Getting listed usually means the move is nearly over.
Not a recommendation to buy—just worth keeping an eye on. Would you dare to buy here? Let’s discuss in the comments.
