I was asked: How can mainnet trust that the results submitted by a Rollup are correct?
My answer: Today, most Rollups use a single sequencer to receive, order, and bundle users’ transactions. Users generally submit their transactions to the sequencer first. Fraud proofs work on the principle of “assume it’s correct unless someone challenges it.” As long as one honest participant is online and challenges in time, an incorrect result can’t slip through.
