đ¸ Can you earn thousands of dollars just by posting? Three things behind Kaito Ă Axisâs rewards
These past couple of days, lots of people on X have been sharing screenshots showing $AXIS arriving in their accounts.
It all started with a creator campaign Axis Robotics ran on Kaito, setting aside 0.25% of the token supply for people who posted about it. A total of 6,221 creators took part in the first round, and claims are now open on Base.
The most impressive post came from Dr.OVG: they ranked second in the first round and received 18,552 tokens, worth around $6,500. Others shared rewards worth a few hundred dollars, while one person said they made it into the top rankings with just a single quote post.
Thereâs plenty of excitement, but I think there are three more important things to talk about đ
đš The top creators get the lionâs share; most people are just along for the ride
6,221 people took part, but only a few are showing off thousands of dollars. No one is tracking how much time everyone else put in.
đš Staking KAITO doesnât automatically qualify you for an airdrop
A Chinese-speaking creator complained today that they had KAITO staked but couldnât claim their AXIS allocation because they hadnât registered separately. According to their account, Kaito said on October 15 last year that around half of stakersâ allocations had gone unclaimed, so it changed the process to require separate registration for each airdrop. The rules have changed, so donât rely on old assumptions.
đš Copy-pasted âclaim linksâ are everywhere
Iâve seen at least two accounts using the exact same copyââHuge payout incoming⌠Check your wallet⌠đlinkââand posting several times within a few hours, with only the links changed. Only use official channels to claim. Connecting your wallet to an unfamiliar link is like handing over your money.
One user also mentioned that the leaderboard for the first round removed a batch of accounts that were gaming engagement and using bots. Thatâs worth applauding; otherwise, âpost-to-earnâ would quickly turn into âbot-to-earn.â
My take: the InfoFi revival is good news for people who put real effort into their content, but at its core, this is a marketing budget from the project team. Treat it as a side hustle if you like, but donât spam low-quality posts or chase hype just to climb the rankingsâand definitely donât click random links in a rush to get into the next campaign.
Have you taken part in one of these post-to-earn token campaigns? Once you factor in the time spent, was the payout worth it?
