Who actually carries out on-chain liquidations, and how do liquidators make money?
Liquidations are generally handled by off-chain programs: they continuously monitor on-chain positions and submit a liquidation transaction as soon as the health factor drops below 1.
Take Aave, for example: once a position's health factor falls below 1, anyone can act as a liquidator and initiate a liquidation.
