Developers have agreed to activate NU7 around November 5, at block 3,543,405 🚀 The main change gonna be faster payments:
📌 block time: 75 sec → 25 sec (3x faster!) 📌 3 confirmations: \~225 sec → \~75 sec 📌 testnet: live since October 6 📌 mainnet target: November 5
NU7 will also retire the old Sprout privacy pool and change how part of network fees are recycled into future miner rewards. The activation block still needs to make it into the final deployment spec and node software, but November 5 is now the date developers are working toward.
