On October 21, Anthropic officially launched its new product, Claude Duet, powered by Claude Opus 5.5.

Proactive work organization: Get a daily morning summary of important emails, calendar events, and work. Background execution: Tasks can continue running on a dedicated cloud computer and browser, even when users turn off their devices. Automated monitoring: Regularly checks connected apps and proactively notifies users when their attention is needed. Integrations with over 6,000 tools: Includes services such as Gmail, Slack, Stripe, Shopify, and QuickBooks. Approval required for important actions: Users must confirm before emails are sent, payments are made, documents are signed, or data is deleted.

For now, Claude Duet is available only to U.S. Pro and Max users through a waitlist-only research preview, and background tasks also count toward usage limits on subscription plans.
