What’s often hardest to keep in a game isn’t the rewards, but the reason players want to open it again. Tokens can make assets easier to move around, but they can’t make up for weak gameplay. If the tables are empty as soon as the incentives stop, the buzz may have been just a brief stay prompted by rewards.

Binance spot rolling 24-hour performance: $IMX -0.59% (rolling 24 hours); $GALA -3.36% (rolling 24 hours); $AXS -1.91% (rolling 24 hours). All three are down, but prices only describe market performance; they don’t prove anything about game quality, player retention, or the reasons for the decline.

What I’d really like to know is: without rewards, does the gameplay itself give people something to think about? Is there interaction between friends that makes them want to join in again and again? Token trends can’t answer these questions, and without usage data, they can’t justify drawing conclusions about the project either.

Asset liquidity is a tool. What really brings people back is having fun in the game. It’s more reliable to consider these two things separately than to treat token prices as a vote from players. #GameFi #App
