SSV proposal shifts focus to maintenance and reduces requested funding
A report dated October 22 says SSV Labs submitted DIP-59 to extend its network management mandate through June 30, 2027, with a smaller budget and narrower scope. The proposed priorities for the second half of 2026 are completing the Boole hard fork and supporting Ethereum’s ePBS upgrade. The first half of 2027 would be devoted exclusively to maintenance, with no new products.
The reported funding request is for 1.5 million USDC in 2026 and 2.7 million SSV tokens in the first half of 2027, with an option conversion mechanism. Assets worth $900,000 are also requested as payment security. These are requested amounts in different units, not an approved budget or evidence of transfers made.
