BTC Perpetuals Night Session: Levels Matter More Than Direction

Until price speaks, keep leverage quiet.

Perpetuals only care about three sets of numbers. Everything else is noise.

1. BTC 84662, 24h range 82635-84898, change +2.20%.
2. BTC open interest notional: $8.31 billion, 24h +6.22%
3. Account-wide long/short ratio: 1.03

My take: Open interest up +6.22% over 24h while price is up +2.20% points to a rally fueled by new positions, not short covering. There may be profit-taking on a pullback.

Execution levels (based on current price ± structure, not an old chart):
- Momentum zone: Only consider chasing above 85,340; below that, it’s a false breakout
- Buy the pullback: 83,647-84,154; don’t buy if this level breaks
- No-trade zone: If the 1h candle closes below 83,139, skip this trade

My positioning: I’ll only buy pullbacks, not chase breakouts. If the structure holds, I can keep a starter position; any add-on must wait for the pullback zone.

Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. Missing numbers are not filled in.
Are you flat and waiting for a pullback, or already in the trade?

Key takeaway: The funding rate tells you who’s paying, not who’s more right.
Food for thought: The strongest meme coin didn’t outperform BTC’s +2%—treat it as volatility, not a sector move.
