SPCX derivatives: Large short position expands despite losses

According to a monitoring report dated October 21, the SPCX short position added approximately $7.2548 million in net exposure after accounting for partial closures during the day. The number of contracts has increased 73.1% since the start of the day. At the time of monitoring, the position stood at 109,793.82 contracts, worth approximately $17.5527 million, with an average entry price of $153.44 and unrealized losses of about $705,900.

The report stated an estimated liquidation price of $207.27. These are derivatives-position figures from a snapshot in time, not a spot price or evidence that the underlying shares were sold. It is useful to track whether the position continues to grow or starts to be closed; increased selling by one account does not establish the direction of the next price move.
