#nil $NIL
I recently checked out @Nillion’s new product, Covenants, and think it addresses this pain point really well. The core idea is to encrypt trading instructions on-chain: until the conditions are met, no one can see your orders or intentions. Bots that monitor on-chain data to catch sudden price wicks are left completely in the dark. Essentially, it uses “blind computing” to create a privacy-preserving execution layer.

According to the roadmap, its first version is called Dusk and is set to launch on the Ethereum mainnet in October. If it works as intended, large investors making moves or executing block trades won’t have to worry about their intentions being exposed in advance and used against them by the market. I find this kind of foundational infrastructure more interesting than simply chasing hype, so I’ve kept a small $NIL spot position as a way to keep an eye on it.

Sharing a trade as well to meet the activity requirements. Not a call to buy or sell—just a discussion of how the technology might work in practice. Will this “privacy execution layer” really take off? We’ll have to wait for the mainnet launch and see what the real data says.
