How to trade short-term futures today? Let’s talk framework.

Before price speaks, leverage should keep quiet.

Futures only care about three sets of numbers. Everything else is noise.

1. BTC 84528, 24h 82338-84828, change +2.31%.
2. BTC open interest notional: $8.36 billion, 24h +6.95%
3. All-account long/short ratio: 1.09

My take: The top-trader long/short ratio is 1.67, while the all-account ratio is only 1.09. Top traders are more bullish than retail traders. You can copy their trades, but you can’t see their stop-losses, so don’t match their full position size.

Execution ranges (based on current price ± structure, not an old chart):
- Breakout zone: Only consider chasing after it holds above 85,205; without a hold, it’s a false breakout.
- Buy the pullback: 83,514-84,021; don’t buy if it loses that level.
- No-trade zone: If the 1h candle closes below 83,007, skip this trade.

My position: I only buy pullbacks; I don’t chase breakouts. If the structure holds, I can keep a starter position. Any add-on must wait for the pullback zone.

Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. Missing figures are left blank.
Would you place a limit order at the pullback level, or wait for the candle to close?

Useful fact: OI is open interest notional, not trading volume.
Idea: VIX<16: You can follow sentiment during a slow rise in US stocks, but reduce your futures position by one notch first.
