The vote is live—not another trial balloon.

PancakeSwap’s “The Flip” governance vote opened on October 21 at 08:07 UTC and closes on October 24. Two major changes are on the table: v3 and Infinity across 11 chains, including BNB Chain, Ethereum, and Solana; and a split of trading fees, with 88% going to LPs and 12% to the treasury. The treasury will continue using its non-stablecoin holdings to buy back $CAKE. Effective daily emissions would first drop from 22,500 to 11,000, with the change rolling out chain by chain over roughly three months. The final target is about 7,000 tokens per day, once Tokenomics 3.0 reaches its goal of reducing supply by 20% relative to the April 2025 baseline—a roughly 69% overall cut. v2 stays unchanged, with 23% of trading fees still going toward burning $CAKE. The remaining 7,000 goes to the Pantry ecosystem fund—not an equal-per-person airdrop.

The October 14 version was still a discussion post, and Snapshot wasn’t open; this time it’s a real vote. Only if it passes should we discuss rollout starting in November—don’t write about the vote opening as if the change has already been made.

This is not investment advice.
