Trading Notes | Take-Profit and Stop-Loss
① Stop-loss and take-profit orders are both conditional orders: they are not placed on the order book until the price reaches the set trigger price, at which point the order is submitted.
② The trigger price for a trailing stop adjusts as the price moves in a favorable direction. An order is placed only when the price retraces by more than the set percentage.
③ In one-way position mode, when placing take-profit or stop-loss orders, you can select “Reduce Only” to prevent a new position from being opened in the opposite direction if the existing position has already been closed when the conditional order is triggered.
