SoSoValue data show that U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs have recorded cumulative net outflows of over $1.08 billion in October, wiping out the $830 million in net inflows seen over the entire month of September.

While Bitcoin remains strong above $83,000, Binance spot prices show ETH still consolidating around $2,450, with capital rotation away from Ethereum clearly evident.

Until U.S. regulators approve staking rewards, institutional investors clearly prefer to treat Bitcoin as a pure macro asset, putting greater pressure on Ethereum from a positioning standpoint.

What do you think could turn Ethereum’s weakness around—approval of a staking ETF, or the public-chain ecosystem finding another breakout application?
